Noticing the popularity of the tiny dog, Chronicle Books approached his owner to write a book about him for children. This book was published later in 2011, entitled Boo: The Life of the World’s Cutest Dog.
The children’s book was later published in ten different languages. A second book was later written about him, Boo: Little Dog in the Big City, along with a calendar and other children’s books.
Boo made multiple appearances in other parts of the media as well, being the subject of a death hoax in 2012 and becoming the official pet liaison of Virgin America.
